Springfield United is excited to welcome Dane Dawson as Head Coach of our Men’s First Team for the 2027 season.

An A Licensed Coach, Dane brings a high level of football knowledge, strong attention to detail and a determination to achieve success.

He joins the role after spending the 2026 season coaching within an NPL U23 environment, gaining valuable experience working with players in a high-performance setting.

Dane is also no stranger to Springfield United, having previously represented the club as a player. His return to The Summit sees him take on a new challenge, this time leading our First Team and helping shape the next chapter of Springfield United’s senior men’s program.

The club has been particularly impressed by Dane’s approach, football knowledge and vision for the program. His focus on standards, preparation and player development strongly aligns with the direction Springfield United wants to take its senior football program.

With preparations for 2027 already underway, Dane will now focus on assembling the playing group and establishing the environment and standards he wants to take into the new season.

Our pathway provides opportunities for players progressing from Springfield United’s youth and Academy programs, as well as experienced senior players joining the club.

Springfield United also offers Metro Men and Masters football, providing senior playing opportunities across a range of competitive and community levels.

The goal is to create a pathway where players can continue their football at Springfield United at a level that matches their ability, commitment and aspirations.

Springfield United’s QPL Men’s program will continue to focus on building a competitive and sustainable senior football environment.
