Senior Women

Springfield United Football Club is proud to support the growth of female football and provide opportunities for women and girls to play, develop and stay connected to the game.

Since launching our first female-only team in 2018, Springfield United has continued to grow its female football program across junior, youth and senior levels. Our female pathway gives players the opportunity to enjoy football at the level that suits them, whether that is competitive football, community football, social football or returning to the game after time away.

From our junior girls teams through to FQPL Women, Metro Women and Women’s Legends, Springfield United is committed to creating a positive, welcoming and supportive environment for female players.

FQPL Women

Springfield United is proud to continue the strong progression of our FQPL Women’s program heading into 2026.

Competing in FQPL 3 Women, the team is led by Head Coach Chris Withers, who has assembled a talented and balanced squad made up of experienced senior players and emerging youth from Springfield United’s female pathway.

As our peak female program, our FQPL Women’s team plays an important role in showing younger players what is possible at Springfield United. The program provides a clear pathway for players who want to continue developing, challenge themselves and progress through the club.

Metro Women

Our Metro Women’s program is ideal for players who want to enjoy senior football in a supportive, team-focused environment.

Metro Women is suited to a wide range of players, including those who are returning to football, moving up from youth football, new to senior football, or looking for a more social and community-based playing option. The focus is on enjoying the game, building fitness, forming friendships and being part of a positive team culture.

Whether you have played for years or are looking to get back into the game, Springfield United’s Metro Women’s team provides a welcoming place to play football, stay active and be part of the club community.

Women’s Legends (Over 30s)

Springfield United also offers a Women’s Legends option for players looking to continue playing in a masters-style competition.

Following a successful first year in Women’s Legends in 2023, where the team won the Grand Final, Springfield United has continued to support this pathway for women who want to stay involved in football in a fun, social and competitive environment.

Women’s Legends provides another opportunity for players to stay active, enjoy football with friends and remain connected to the Springfield United community.
