Coach and Manager Info

Springfield United is a community football club, and our teams rely on parents, carers and volunteers stepping forward to coach and manage. Coaches and managers play a vital role in helping teams train, play, communicate and enjoy the season.

Whether you are coaching for the first time or returning for another season, this page is your starting point for key information, club expectations, registration steps, resources and support.

Why We Need Coaches & Managers

Springfield United is one of the largest community football clubs in the region, and our teams cannot operate without volunteer coaches and managers.

As a community club, we do not provide coaches and managers for every community-level team. Instead, we rely on parents and carers to step into these roles with support from the club.

Without a coach or manager, a team may not be able to train, play or continue through the season.

You do not need to be a football expert to help. Many of our coaches and managers are parents who simply want to support their child’s team. The club provides guidance, resources and support throughout the season.

Team Communication

One of the first things coaches and managers should do is establish a clear communication channel for the team.

Team communication may include:

  • Training reminders or changes
  • Game day arrival times and locations
  • Player availability
  • Team rosters
  • Jersey washing arrangements
  • Wet weather updates

  • Team events or end-of-season information

Families should ensure at least one parent or guardian is included in the team communication channel.
