Female Pathway 2024

As a strong supporter of female participation in football, Springfield United Football Club is excited to introduce its 2024 Female Pathway.

Since 2018 when we started our first female-only team, we have grown our female participation by 120% with 212 players in 2023 across 13 female teams, ranging from U8 to FQPL Women and Women's Legends.

Instrumental in building our female involvement is our successful Springfield Girls United program, which we have run since 2022 and has provided the opportunity for girls who have not experienced football before to come and try. This pathway will provide the opportunities for females to have a lifetime of football, and can choose from the fitness and friendship of Community football, or the development and excitement of advanced league football.

Supporting the Pathway will be our preparation in 2023/2024 for application for entry into the Female Advanced Leagues for U13 to U17, from as early as 2025. If successful, this will result in around 300+ female players across 20 Female teams in both community and advanced leagues.

Follow our socials for information and announcements on our Female Pathway 2024+, with our Springfield Girls United and trials for our female teams expected to commence after the completion of Season 2023.
