Some important points to note:

Key info - Refer to section below '2022 Regular Season'

Questions - head to our FAQs

Fees - can be found on our Fee Info page. 2022 will see a 'no pay no play' policy enforced more strictly. Players must be fully paid, or have a payment plan set up for any unpaid balances, before the end of January (Seniors and Divisionals) or February (MiniRoos). If you are not fully paid or on a plan by the time of your teams first game, you will not be activated and your place may be given to players on a wait-list. This will not affect about 95% of members, but the aim of this policy is to allow the committee to be able to focus on the season and running of the club during the season, rather than continuing to chase a handful of outstanding fees through the year. Any unpaid fees from 2021 will be added to your 2022 fees and fall under the same policy.

Trials- if you are in a team that trials in January (e.g. FQPL 5 Men) your registration to that specific side is dependent on the trial outcome. If unsuccessful, the club will aim to still place you within another team at that age group (i.e. we will make every effort to place all players signing up into a team and only in very limited circumstances will this not be able to be done).

2022 Regular Season

Registration is now performed using the website system. The system allows for part payment of fees as well as the setup of a payment plan directly in the system.

A minimum deposit of $100 is required to secure registrations, which can be paid using the features of the online system. Full fee payment (or a payment plan being entered into) are due by the end of January for Divisional players and end of February for Mini-Roos (i.e. prior to commencement of training). Senior fees are payable prior to participation in a competitive fixture following successful trials.

Trials & Grading

FQPL Senior Men and Women;, FQPL Metro League and Div 1 Junior Divisionals will trial during January 2021. For all other teams, grading will be performed during the first few weeks of training and sign on will be capped at the expected team number. We will also use the start of training to identify the level of ability in MiniRoos U9-U11 and assess the number of Komodo teams we wish to field before grading players into these.

Refer to the Teams pages for details of the trials.

Training/Season start

Outside of the trailing teams, all other senior teams (Metro Men and Women, Legends Women and Masters Men) will commence pre-season sessions from Wednesday 12th Jan, ahead of participating in the SUFC Cup in Jan/Feb. Players will be graded into the various levels of teams prior to the commencement of the season.
All other Divisional (U13-U18) and U12 sides that are not trialling in January will commence training the week commencing 31st January. Players will be graded into the available teams at each age group through the first couple of weeks and then will split to train in these individual teams for the remainder of the season.
Please note, training days for the season may differ from the days of trials/training during January and from the initial Divisional grading weeks (though we will try to avoid a day change for non-trialling divisional teams once graded where possible).
Training for Mini-Roos (U6-U11) will start week commencing 28th Feb (extended to 14 March due to weather impacting the grounds) for those who have nominated for a Komodo trial and the following week (week commencing 7th March - also extended to 14 March due to weather impacting the grounds) for all other Mini-Roos sides. Komodo trials will run across the first couple of weeks of training. Unsuccessful trialists will be placed into another side at the end of their trial.

Training and team details will not be communicated during sign on period as some of this information is dependent on sign on numbers and mix. Once the sign on period progresses, additional training information will be emailed to registered players ahead of the commencement of training (this is expected to occur towards the end of January 2022).

Information will be updated on the 'Registration' tab of the new website as needed through the sign-on process and season.

The MiniRoos & Divisionals and Seniors tabs will be updated with info as the season progress for teams in each category.
